BRTF Student Granted William F. Whites Award

Third year BRTF students travelled to Toronto on Saturday, December 3rd 2011 to take part in the first ever Student Open House at William F. Whites. Whites is one of North America’s largest equipment suppliers for motion picture, television and theatre productions.

Students were given a tour of Whites’ expansive new facility and took part in hands-on demonstrations of a large selection of specialized lighting and grip equipment, cranes, dollies and camera cars. Whites representatives were on hand to answer questions and offer advice on student film projects.

The students also had the opportunity to participate in a demonstration of digital workflow hosted by Bling Digital. Zach Bardoel—a film production student in the program—was the surprise winner of a draw for a project grant worth $500 in free equipment rentals from Whites.
